Christopher von Schirach

Christopher is a Doctor of Economics who has a remarkable gift for applying his academic expertise to real business issues - and for helping others do the same. In both corporate and academic settings he is a charismatic and energetic teacher of strategy; as a consultant he helps companies' senior teams develop their own. He has a particular interest in helping businesses develop strategy based on the investment value created by intangible assets. Christopher believes that intangible assets will be the dominant driver in the developed economies in the coming decades.

Professional Background

With wide international teaching experience from Stockholm (where he is based) to Silicon Valley, and from Finland to the Far East, Christopher is a Visiting Professor at the Stern Graduate Business School (New York University), the Stockholm School of Economics and the Kasaltsart University in Bangkok, and was Associate Dean for Executive Education in Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration. In business settings he teaches on executive programmes in Compaq, Ernst & Young, Rockwell, Sandvik and Unilever, as well as directing corporate and strategic programmes for Audi-Volkswagen, NordBanken and Unilever.

Christopher's business interests include Board memberships of Comintel, KTH Holdings, Mobilares, Porsche Sweden, SDR Group, Stora Data and Unilever Scandinavia.

Personal Profile

Christopher is based in Stockholm and has a wife and two adult sons. He is interested in antiques and objets d'art from around the world - and has a passion for sailing!
