Jonathan Sindall

Jonathan Sindall has run his own training consultancy for over twenty years. The company initially provided consultancy and training material: clients included a wide range of large organisations and government bodies, including Huntliegh Healthcare, Clifford Chance, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Inland Revenue.

More recently Jonathan has consulted in the area of business finance and shareholder value creation. In Europe, the Far East and the US he has worked with organisations such as Infineon Technologies AG, Texas Instruments Corp and Lennox Industries.

Professional Background

Prior to establishing his company, he worked in Asia as the General Manager of McGraw-Hill International Training Systems, running offices and distributors across south-east Asia. He supplied a wide range of training to private companies and government organisations throughout the region, including becoming the sole supplier of Supervisory training to the National Productivity Board of Singapore.

Before leaving Asia, Jonathan carried out a major consultancy project for IBM World Trade Asia. This involved extensive travel in Australia producing a marketing documentary and working with IBM staff and clients in Asia to promote a new business initiative. Prior to moving to Asia, he was sales director for McGraw-Hill Training Systems Europe; previously he worked in the IT industry in various sales and marketing positions.

Jonathan's commercial, rather than financial, background means that he brings a business-oriented approach to finance training. He believes that ‘managers don’t need to be accountants, but they do need to know how their company financial model works and how they impact it.’

Personal Profile

Jonathan has been chair of governors for a local primary school and chair of trustees for Cheltenham Volunteer Centre. He has been heavily involved in pro-EU organisations before and since the 2016 referendum. He is currently a director of a Community Interest Company (The Commercial Foundation) established to help disadvantaged young people find a way into work.

He lives in Cheltenham.
